How the arithmetic works
Concentration is the milligrams in the vial divided by the millilitres of water you add. A 10mg vial with 2mL of water is 5mg/mL.
A U-100 insulin syringe is marked in units where 100 units is 1mL. So the units to draw are your dose divided by the concentration, times 100. At 5mg/mL a 0.25mg dose is 5 units.
